That venturi scrubber may cost you a fortune.

You could cut your electric bill in half!

40 " instead of 83"!  A waste sludge incinerator operator was able to clean up their emissions with a pressure drop of only 40 inches of water column across their Hydro-Sonic wet scrubber instead of requiring more than 83 inches of water column for a traditional venturi wet scrubber.   The incinerator was producing large amounts of sub-micron emissions.   More than half of the particulates, by weight, were less than 0.1 micron.

Hydro-Sonic Systems was contacted to determine if they could solve the problem.   A small-scale test was performed and it was demonstrated that a Hydro-Sonic Tandem Nozzle Wet Scrubber could produce the required results with a pressure drop of only 40 inches of water column across the scrubber.   The full scale scrubber easily passed all EPA requirements.

This case is not unique.   We see results like this any time there are heavy loads of sub-micron particulates.

How do we do it?

Hydro-Sonic scrubbers incorporate jet engine mixing technology to improve the efficiency with which water droplets encapsulate particles.   This proprietary technology effectively utilizes the capture mechanisms of impaction, interception, and diffusion to clean processes that no other wet scrubbing technology can economically clean.   See our equipment page for more details.

Why Choose a Hydro-Sonic Scrubber?

  • Low Maintenance
  • Low Capital Cost
  • High Efficiency
  • Guaranteed Performance
Do you have a challenging process?   Call us today.

Hydro-Sonic wet scrubbers have no moving parts and rarely require maintenance.   When maintenance is required, easy access points make maintenance simple.

Hydro-Sonic Scrubbers were introduced over 47 years ago and can be found around the world on hundreds of processes.

We most likely have test data on a process similar to yours.  If not, we are happy to perform a small scale test at your site to best size a scrubber for your process.

We guarantee our scrubbers will work.  If our scrubber is not performing as designed, we will make the necessary modifications at our own cost.
