Tandem Nozzle

The Hydro-Sonic Tandem Nozzle Scrubber is a highly efficient pollutant scrubber for difficult to scrub processes. It has two stages of scrubbing, and has been shown to have significant efficiency versus energy improvement over the Hydro-Sonic Single Nozzle scrubber. It has scrubbing efficiencies equivalent to the Hydro-Sonic Steam-Hydro scrubber, except that the upper limit of scrubbing efficiency is determined by the ability of the driver fan to increase scrubber pressure-drop.

In the basic configuration it has fixed throat nozzles, and is good for steady state processes. Where turndown is required variable throat nozzles may be used, or one may install our Super-Sub ejector assembly. Also for induced draft scrubber configurations, one may recycle gas from the outlet of the fan back to the inlet of the scrubber, thereby maintaining a constant gas flow rate and pressure drop in the scrubber as the process condition varies.

The Hydro-Sonic Tandem Nozzle scrubber is the scrubber of choice in processes having difficult to extremely difficult scrubbing characteristics, and where the Hydro-Sonic Steam-Hydro scrubber is not a viable choice.

The Hydro-Sonic Tandem Nozzle scrubber is the most often used of all the Hydro-Sonic configurations.
